Frequently asked questions

Answers for authors, reviewers, and attendees. Everything you need to know about ICACI 2026.

General

What is ICACI 2026?

ICACI 2026 is the IEEE International Conference on Artificial and Computational Intelligence. The conference brings together global researchers, engineers, and practitioners to discuss the latest advances in AI and computational intelligence. It is organized around six core technical tracks, including Foundation Models, Vision Intelligence, Edge & Quantum Computing, Healthcare AI, and Trustworthy AI.

Who can attend?

ICACI 2026 is open to researchers, practitioners, students, and industry professionals worldwide. Attendance is not contingent on having an accepted paper; non-author and virtual registrations are also available.

What are the conference dates?

The conference is scheduled for 15 December 2026. Please refer to the Important Dates section on the website for the complete schedule.

Submission

What is the paper submission deadline?

Initial paper submissions are due by 16 August 2026.

What topics are covered?

ICACI 2026 features six comprehensive technical tracks:

  • Track 1: Foundation Models, Generative Intelligence, and Cognitive AI
  • Track 2: Intelligent Data Systems, Language Intelligence, and Knowledge Computing
  • Track 3: Vision Intelligence, Autonomous Robotics, and Embodied AI
  • Track 4: Edge Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Future Connected Systems
  • Track 5: AI for Healthcare, Sustainable Engineering, and Industrial Transformation
  • Track 6: Trustworthy AI, Secure Intelligence, and Responsible Computing

What format should my paper follow?

All submissions must conform to the standard IEEE conference double-column format. Initial submissions must be between 6 to 15 pages in length and strictly follow double-blind review guidelines (no author names or affiliations). The final camera-ready papers are strictly limited to a maximum of 6 pages.

Can I submit work that has been published elsewhere?

No. Submissions must be original work that is neither previously published nor currently under review at another venue. ICACI strictly enforces IEEE policies regarding plagiarism and multiple submissions. Papers with a similarity or AI-generated text score exceeding 30% will not be processed.

How will I be notified of the decision?

Acceptance and rejection notifications will be sent to the corresponding author's registered email address by 1 October 2026.

When is the camera-ready deadline?

Final, IEEE Xplore-compatible versions of accepted papers (along with the e-Copyright form) are due by 16 October 2026. Authors must address all reviewer feedback prior to this submission.

Registration

How do I register?

Registration can be completed via our dedicated author portal. Detailed instructions and the submission link are available on the Registration page. Note that at least one author per accepted paper must complete registration (early registration deadline is 2 November 2026) for the paper to be included in the proceedings.

Are there different registration categories?

Yes. Fee structures—including potential reductions for IEEE members, students, and participants from qualifying regions—are listed on the Registration Fees page.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Refund and cancellation terms are specified in the registration portal. Please consult the Registration Guidelines for the most current policy.

Venue & Travel

Where is the conference held?

ICACI 2026 is hosted in Bangladesh (supported by the IEEE CIS Bangladesh Chapter). Specific venue addresses, directions, and nearby accommodation options will be listed on the Venue page closer to the event.

Do I need a visa to attend?

Visa requirements vary by nationality. Please verify your status with your nearest Bangladeshi embassy or consulate. If you require an invitation letter to support your visa application, you can request one through the registration portal after your registration is complete.

Will the conference be hybrid (online + in-person)?

Yes, ICACI 2026 offers flexible attendance options. Authors of accepted papers can choose to present their work in person or opt for a "proceedings-only" track, which requires a virtual registration but does not mandate physical attendance. Both tracks receive equal treatment in the final proceedings.

Publication

Where will accepted papers be published?

All accepted and properly registered papers will be submitted for inclusion into the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, subject to meeting IEEE's rigorous scope and quality requirements.

Will there be a best paper award?

Yes. All accepted papers, regardless of whether they are presented in person or virtually, are eligible for Best Paper Awards and other designations of distinction. Details on award categories and selection criteria are posted on the Awards page.
